In today’s cybersecurity landscape, it is difficult to manage the volume of information generated by the various security tools used to safeguard critical assets and networks. The vast amount of information collected from disparate data sources such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, Manual Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), interviews, and more make it difficult for an organization to assess their own cybersecurity risk. To rectify this, Arlington,Virginia-based Decisive Analytics has developed and launched a cyber posture and risk analysis tool, Decisive Analytics Risk Environment (DARE).
DARE ingests and aggregates cybersecurity descriptive data, interview data, and technical data to provide a more holistic understanding of an entire system’s cyber posture. Using this information, DARE assimilates vulnerability assessments, mitigating factors, and RMF controls assessments into a single environment resulting in a sole risk assessment dashboard. DARE also has the capability for both control-level and system-level risk analysis resulting in more efficient, effective, and informed decision making for risk-based system authorization.
In stark contrast to the standard cookie-cutter approach of providing separate vulnerability assessments, control assessments, Physical Protection Systems (PPS) analysis, and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance posture, DARE aggregates these results and outputs them into one risk environment which provides an automated reporting capability based on the weighted scoring of the various data and technologies’ compliance and risk. DARE provides Decisive Analytics’s team of cybersecurity experts the mechanism to give a comprehensive and realistic risk assessment to customers giving them the necessary insights to increase their cybersecurity posture.
